O.K. a little bit late but I wasn't sure what I wanted to write about this.

This year, 2016, there is only one Friday the 13th and next year there are two but not in any warm month, January and October.

That being said this will be the only warm month Friday the 13th for two years.

Before I get into this maybe a little background on what Friday the 13th is.

From Wikipedia:

"The Friday the 13th Motorcycle Rally is a motorcycle rally held every Friday the 13th in Port Dover, Ontario, Canada since 1981. Its typical summer attendance exceeds 1000 bikers."

So in the pouring rain five Urals met up at Old Vintage Cranks in Acton early in the morning. Once we had all our rain gear on we hit the road at 06:00.

Very early but we wanted to get good parking spots on Main Street.

So off we went.

A real time video of the group, now six of us, riding in to Port Dover and parking on Main Street.

 (Coming in the future)

Here is a time lapse of the crowds gathering and walking on Main Street.

The local newspaper estimated the crowd was near 100,000 for the day in a town with a population of 6,000. Reminds me of Sturgis for one day.

Some pictures of Main Street and the crowd.

And finally my departure from Port Dover to home by traveling along the north shore of Lake Erie heading east.

There will be two in 2017, one in January (which has passed by the time this was posted) and the next in October.

I doubt the crowd size will be the same for either but in 2018 there will be one in April and July. Expect Julys to be probably the biggest of all time.
